Víctor Erice returns after more than thirty years with a deep, nostalgic look at cinema and memory, and Ana Torrent, who starred in his “The Spirit of the Beehive” half a century earlier, comes back with him. She plays the daughter of an actor who vanished from a film set and was never found.

Synopsis

The famous actor Julio Arenas disappears during a shoot and is never found. Twenty years later, a popular TV show reopens the case and invites Miguel Garay, who directed the unfinished film and was the actor’s closest friend, to be interviewed. It sets him off on an investigation of his own, tracking down the people who were with Julio back then.
