The Fighter

Synopsis

Micky Ward is a light welterweight from Lowell, Massachusetts, who keeps getting into fights he has no chance of winning. His mother, Alice, manages him, and he’s trained by his half-brother Dicky, a former boxer who is still on crack. After a brutal defeat by a much heavier opponent, Micky meets Charlene, a bartender, who tells him plainly that he needs to cut himself loose from his family.
