Noam Shuster-Eliassi grew up in the Oasis of Peace, a village that Israelis and Palestinians share. She’s had enough of being the well-behaved activist, so she has taken Palestine and Israel onto the stand-up stage, where her humour is confrontational and refuses to back down.
Neve Shalom and Wahat al-Salam are two names for one village, where Israeli and Palestinian families live side by side, and it’s where Noam Shuster-Eliassi grew up. She goes on to work at the UN, but decides that this route isn’t reaching anyone. So she turns to stand-up instead and writes an hour-long show about occupation and inequality.
