Dogme 95 banned genre cinema, and yet this is more or less a romantic comedy. A new parish priest signs up for an Italian class, and so do five others who can’t say what they long for in any language. Charming and bittersweet, it makes a quiet case for not being alone.
In a rainy Danish suburb, Andreas, a young priest who recently lost his wife, arrives to take over a new parish. On his very first evening he signs up for an Italian class for beginners, even though he couldn’t say out loud why he’s there. He isn’t the only one.
