Synopsis

In a near-future Brazil, the state sends its old people to a colony deep in the interior, and nobody ever comes back. The age limit has just been lowered, and now it covers Tereza. Rather than wait, she boards a boat and heads upriver, where someone offers her the slime of a rare snail that is said to show you your own future.
