Quentin Dupieux (“Rubber”) strikes again, with Léa Seydoux, Vincent Lindon, Louis Garrel and Raphaël Quenard shooting a film written and directed by an artificial intelligence. It ignores everything the actors suggest, and they keep dropping out of character, afraid they’re about to be cancelled.
Florence is obsessed with David, who doesn’t feel the same and asks his friend to step in and free him of her. The plan is to do it over a meal with her father at a shabby restaurant on an empty road, miles from anywhere. There’s just one snag: all four of them are actors, and not one can stay in character for longer than a scene.
