Two neighbours in Montmartre keep passing each other in the street, and in this romantic comedy turned inside out, you spend the whole film waiting for them to finally meet. They both have plenty to sort out first, though. It’s as warm as a blanket, and there’s a cat who ties everything together.
In Paris’s 18th arrondissement, Mélanie goes on dates with men from an app and comes home alone every time, while Rémy can’t sleep and can’t bring himself to start a conversation with anyone. They end up in the same therapist’s office, and they live in neighbouring buildings and keep passing each other in the street. Neither one notices the other.
