Magnus von Horn (“The Girl with the Needle”), a Łódź Film School graduate, premiered his cold-eyed debut at Cannes. Pop singer Ulrik Munther plays a teenager who has served his sentence and comes home to a past that won’t be forgotten. He’s done his time, but the consequences are just beginning.

Synopsis

John comes home from prison to a farm in rural Sweden, where his father acts from the doorstep as if nothing has happened. The village doesn’t bother pretending. At school the hostility is out in the open while the teachers look away, and nobody has forgiven him, though no one will say out loud what for.
