Synopsis

Paris, 1930. Luis Buñuel is broke after the scandal caused by his film “The Golden Age”. In this difficult time, he can’t start filming his documentary on one of the poorest Spanish regions, Las Hurdes. His good friend, sculptor Ramon Asin, buys a lottery ticket with the promise that if he wins, he’ll fund the film. Unbelievably and unexpectedly, luck is on their side.
