Why we chose it
In accordance with neorealism and the power of fierce women like Anna Maniani, Jasmine Trinca impersonates, with courage and inexhaustible energy, a "lucky" heroine whose fate does not seem to follow her name, in a modern melodrama of emancipation.
Synopsis
The portrait of a woman on the outskirts of Rome who takes on everyone and everything in her quest to make her dream come true and faces a force that comes in juxtaposition with what her name means: Fortunata is unlucky. Or maybe not?
