Why we chose it

Hlynur’s family life gets very complicated after a night with a flamenco teacher, set to a score by Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz and Einar Örn of The Sugarcubes. The number in the title is the postcode for the centre of Reykjavík, the city’s biggest party district. Cold, dark and funny.

Synopsis

A week before Christmas in Reykjavík, Hlynur still lives with his mother, has no job and no intention of changing anything. Then Lola, a Spanish flamenco teacher and his mother’s closest friend, moves into the spare room, and on New Year’s Eve a drunk Hlynur ends up in bed with her. Soon afterwards his mother explains that Lola is her girlfriend.
