One master of surrealism takes on another as Quentin Dupieux spends seventy-nine minutes with Salvador Dalí, played here by five different actors. The result is an interview with a man who simply can’t stop performing.
Judith, a journalist, dreams of interviewing Salvador Dalí, but the painter won’t hear of a written piece and insists it be filmed on an impressive camera. Judith finds a producer willing to pay for the shoot and sets a date. Dalí talks about himself at great length, yet somehow the interview never quite happens.
