Steven Soderbergh’s paranoid thriller about the side effects of psychiatric drugs stars Rooney Mara as a depressed woman waiting for her husband to get out of prison, and Jude Law as the psychiatrist who puts her on an experimental drug. But who is manipulating whom?
Martin Taylor gets out of prison in New York after serving time for insider trading and goes home to his wife, Emily, who suffers from depression. Not long afterwards, Emily drives her car straight into the wall of a parking garage, and none of the drugs her psychiatrist, Jonathan Banks, prescribes seem to help. When her previous doctor suggests a new one, Emily starts taking Ablixa, but the improvement is an illusion.
