The Best Families

Aka “Parasite” set in Peru. Families that are so proper they seem to have popped right out of a telenovela, hit some hard times and debase themselves in the eyes of their staff, in this biting social satire about class inequalities in the small Latin American country.

Synopsis

Two sisters work as house keepers in neighboring houses owned by upper class Peruvian families. They are both considered to be part of the family, or so it seems. On a day when the city is rocked by violent protests, a birthday party brings the two families together and a well-kept secret comes to life, upheaving the fake world they’ve been living in.
