Reminiscent of early Guillermo Del Torro, Issa Lopez unravels a dark tale about the scars of childhood trauma, through an aesthetic of fantasy and magical realism. After the success of this film, Lopez actually now works with Del Torro and mega-producer Jason Blum for her next film.

Synopsis

A haunting horror fairytale set amidst Mexico’s drug war. A group of orphans, armed with three magic wishes, run to escape the ghosts that haunt them and the cartel that killed their parents.
