Vincent Lindon leads 1,100 workers out on strike when their factory is shut down despite turning a profit, three years after he made the Cannes prize-winner “The Measure of a Man” with Stéphane Brizé. Almost everyone else on screen is a non-professional, playing themselves.
To keep the Perrin factory going, its workers accepted lower pay and longer hours, yet the board has decided to close it anyway, even though it’s making money. Led by their union representative, Laurent Amédéo, 1,100 of them walk out on strike. It won’t stop at a protest.
