there's something so gentle and sincere about it. no dialogue, no grand explanations, just a boy, a little bird, a bicycle, and a world that somehow feels both lonely and full of wonder. every landscape looks like a dream you barely remember after waking up
Why we chose it
A few years before he directed the Oscar-winning “Flow”, Gints Zilbalodis made this one single-handedly, doing the animation, the music and the editing himself. It follows a boy across an island with something gigantic always on his trail, and there isn’t a single line of dialogue.
Synopsis
A boy comes to on an island he has never seen, home to strange animals and to something enormous that has just started walking his way. He finds a motorbike and a map and sets off. The giant can afford to take its time.
