Why we chose it
Gangster melodrama and romantic entanglements against the backdrop of Prohibition, or how Woody Allen combines his serious personal conundrums with behind-the-scenes farce. Infallible John Cusack and Dianne Wiest in what many consider the best 90s film of the great American comedian.
Synopsis
New York, 1920s. A young screenwriter is looking for funding to bring his play to Broadway. In order to make it happen, he accepts money from a gangster, on the condition that his untalented partner stars in the project.
