Inspired by John Cassavetes' Gloria, Erick Zonca sketches the portrait of a morally gray, complex heroine, who is sensationally played by Tilda Swinton. Nominated for a César award for a female performance.
Julia is a 40 year old alcoholic. Manipulative, impossible to trust, with an appeal to lying. Between alcohol, nights out and one night stands, she makes ends meet by jumping from one job to another. The only person who cares about her is her old boyfriend, but she ignores him. But suddenly she has an epiphany, and a vision of the dark future that awaits her. In her desperation, she turns to crime, but nothing goes according to plan and now she finds herself on the hunt.
