Synopsis

In Paris in 1900, Lili, a courtesan, is raising her daughter on her own. Little Tina is slow to learn, and Lili is afraid her difficulties will close every door to her, so she takes the girl to Rome. There she meets Maria Montessori, who teaches children in a way nobody has ever tried before.
