Why we chose it
Eugenia comes home from Paris to the family estate outside Buenos Aires when her father falls ill, and soon a court is asking how the land came into their hands under the dictatorship. Bérénice Bejo, who plays her, was born in that same city, and her family fled it in those very years.
Synopsis
Her father’s stroke calls a woman home from Paris to the family estate outside Buenos Aires. Her mother and sister, whom she hasn’t seen in years, still live in the house, and before long questions are being asked. What was the family doing during the military dictatorship, and how did the land this house stands on end up theirs?
