Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams and Marion Cotillard star in a romance that bends the rules of time, in a Paris where midnight belongs to the romantics. The Oscar-winning screenplay brings in Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Stein, Dalí and Buñuel, and has great fun with the traps nostalgia sets.
Gil Pender arrives in Paris with his fiancée, Inez, though they have more pulling them apart than holding them together: Inez has her feet firmly on the ground, while Gil is a hopeless romantic in love with the Paris of the 1920s. One night, as he wanders the streets and the clock strikes midnight, a vintage car pulls up beside him. Moments later he is at a party with F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife, Zelda, and meeting Ernest Hemingway in a bar.
