Synopsis

Five-year-old Jack and his mother, Joy, live in a shed in Ohio. Jack has never been outside, and Ma tells him that Room is the whole world and everything on TV is made up. They are kept there by a man they call Old Nick, who comes at night. When Old Nick loses his job and cuts off their power, Ma decides Jack is old enough to learn the truth.
