Four cops are sent to clean up the drug trade in Seville, and Alberto Rodríguez shows an Andalusia baking in the heat, where power answers to no one. The officers go one step too far, and then another, and another.
A few years before Expo 92, Seville has to be cleared of dealers, prostitution and crime before the visitors arrive for the World’s Fair. Four plainclothes officers are told to take on the drug-ridden city centre. Young Ángel is ambitious but inexperienced, while the older Rafael has seen it all and has no qualms about using violence. The arrests pile up fast, and nobody higher up asks how.
