Synopsis

A fisherman and farmer living in a village on Greece’s northern border, drowning in debt, begins smuggling migrants across the lake for a hefty fee. His wife, a housewife and devout churchgoer, searches for the true Word of God, while their daughter struggles to define her life within the oppressive environment that surrounds her. But when a tragic event disrupts the fragile balance, the three protagonists are forced to confront the cost of their actions.
