Synopsis

A history professor who has lost faith in his profession witnesses an attack on a shopkeeper by three young robbers. He captures one of the attackers, a 14-year-old Romani boy, and, moved by his situation, regains his passionate faith in education, but quickly comes into conflict with the ruthless laws of the boy's community.
