Jury Prize at the Cannes Festival for the explosive directorial debut of the talented French documentary filmmaker Ladj Ly, who captures a permanently electrified Paris on the verge of turmoil, as if not a day has passed since the classic "La Haine".
Synopsis
In the wake of France's participation in the 2018 World Cup, a police officer is stationed in the north-eastern ghetto of Paris. It doesn't take long for the explosions and violence to start while on his first patrol.
