Marco Bellocchio, the enfant terrible of italian cinema, has graced us with one of his most mature films: a wonderfully balanced, deeply touching story about childhood, innocence and the loss of both.
Synopsis
Turin, 1969. A boy's idyllic childhood is shattered by the sudden loss of his mother. Today he is an accomplished journalist, but after working as a war correspondent in Sarajevo, he starts to suffer from panic attacks.
