Reality is what doesn’t go away when you stop believing in it, according to Philip K. Dick. In Alexis Alexiou’s masterfully disorienting thriller, what is reality, what is dream, what is repression? One of the best debut films in modern Greek cinema from the director of Wednesday 04:45.
Synopsis
Jason meets Penelope at a dinner with friends. They go out and, at some point, she moves in with him. He can share everything with her, even that childhood game of guiding his dreams. Until, one morning, he wakes up and she's gone. He doesn’t know where she is or why she left. He cannot remember what transpired. Jason decides to win back his memory and his life. But something constantly gets in the way. Is it the childhood game that’s coming back? Or is it an inexplicable natural phenomenon?
