Why we chose it

Born of a wounded heart that could find no solace in oblivion, "Voyage to Cythera" moves beyond the political dimension of history, approaching the limits of a genuinely existential work, anchored by the silent, devastating presence of Manos Katrakis.

Synopsis

A film director welcomes his communist father, who returns to his homeland after thirty-two years in exile, opposes the sale of a piece of land, and finds himself unable to adapt to the new realities.
