Based on the cult trilogy of novels by Virginie Despentes and starring the always excellent Romain Duris, the miniseries is a mural of Parisian society today, but mostly a love letter and a tribute to the music, culture and lost dreams of the 90s generation.
Synopsis
Vernon Subutex, the unemployed former owner of the legendary Revolver record store, is being evicted from his apartment. In search of a place to stay, he gets in touch with his old friends from the music world in the 90s. One of them is rock star Alex Bleach, who dies of an overdose, leaving behind three mysterious videotapes. Vernon packs up and slips anonymously into town. He soon becomes the most wanted man in Paris.
