We're All Going to the World's Fair
- Jane Schoenbrun, Valeria Santiago
- 2021
- 1h 26m
- Mystery, Fantasy, Horror
Who among us hasn’t been lost in endless doomscrolling, where reality begins to slip? In the debut preceding the striking I Saw the TV Glow, Jane Schoenbrun transforms this sensation into a melancholic, avant-garde horror about the near-metaphysical power of the screen.
Synopsis
Reality and fantasy begin to merge when a withdrawn teenager immerses herself in an online horror role-playing game. As she sinks deeper into its world, her experiences grow increasingly ambiguous - until it becomes impossible to tell what belongs to the digital realm, and what to her own.
