Six men are playing a game on a yacht. The winner will be declared "the best" of them all. Written by Efthymis Filippou (partially responsible for the inimitable Lanthimos universe), this peculiar dark comedy was indeed the winner at the London Film Festival, where it snagged the Best Film Award.
Synopsis
A group of men returns from a winter fishing trip on a yacht. When engine trouble keeps them stuck onboard somewhere in the Saronic Gulf, they kill time by playing an impromptu game called Chevalier. Chevalier is both amusing and intensely competitive. No one disembarks until there’s a winner.
