Exile

Vasilis Mazomenos draws on the Odyssey to continue his allegorical mapping of a society in decay, turning crisis-era Greece into an existential landscape of exile.

Synopsis

A desperate man attempts to flee Greece aboard a nearly wrecked boat. Rescued from certain drowning by the coast guard, he returns as a stranger to his own country, where he endures every form of extremity as an outcast of the system.
