Synopsis

Shortly after the death of her estranged mother, Sue, a nursing student, is assigned to a remote Irish village to care for Peig, a reclusive elderly woman who lives in fear, haunted by her past in a Catholic asylum. The forest house hides many dark secrets, and Peig’s paranoia slowly begins to seep into Sue, whose own troubled, abusive past resurfaces with disturbing inevitability.
