The protagonist and the director of "Goodbye, Lenin" join forces once more, for a brainy satire about old age, loneliness, the curse of genius and the value of friendship, as it unpredictably and improbably flourishes between a blind painter and a cynical journalist.

Synopsis

A young journalist is trying to turn his career around by writing the biography of a brilliant, yet old and forgotten, living painter. While devising a plan for the artist to disappear and thus secure headlines when it's time for his book to be published, the journalist ends up on an unexpected, adventurous trip with the old man.
