Herman Koch's novel, "The Dinner", gets the Mediterranean treatment, exposing the blatant sins of upper-class families even more overtly, in a contemporary social thriller about the generalized indifference of the 40-somethings and its impact on the younger generation.

Synopsis

Two brothers, who have completely different personalities and have made completely different life choices, find themselves constantly in conflict. One is a successful lawyer and the other is a pediatrician. Out of respect for tradition, once a month they meet in a lavish restaurant with their wives.
