Why we chose it

Céline Sciamma directed Noémie Merlant in “Portrait of a Lady on Fire”, and now Merlant directs, working from a script she wrote with Sciamma about three women on a balcony in sweltering Marseille and the handsome neighbour opposite. Expect comedy, thriller and plenty of blood, none of it serious.

Synopsis

Marseille is cooking at 46°C. Three friends who share a flat spend their time out on the balcony, watching the street and happily poking their noses into the lives of everyone across the way. Then one evening they go over to the handsome neighbour’s for a drink, and it ends in bloodshed.
