A 180-degree Hitchcock turn in Xavier Dolan's pop theme and a dive into the dark abyss of passion, mourning, guilt and need, with anthology scenes and the amazing music of Gabriel Yared that sets the tone for a melancholic drama with psychological thriller resemblences.
Synopsis
A young man visits the farm where his dead partner grew up. There he will meet his mother who ignores her lost son's sexual identity and his boorish brother, with whom he will develop an almost sadomasochistic relationship of dependence. Where does mourning stop and where does dependence begin?
