Six years after his Cannes Camera d'Or award-winning directorial debut, Anthony Chen returns with another melancholic and beautiful drama about the loneliness of the urban landscape and the monsoons that are born through unfulfilled dreams.

Synopsis

A forty-year-old Chinese teacher in Singapore languishes in a stagnant family and work life. A minor student of hers will fall in love with her and this relationship, although forbidden, will bring her face to face with her personal impasses.
