Department Q: The Keeper of Lost Causes

Synopsis

Five years ago, Merete Lynggaard, a rising political star, disappeared from the deck of a ferry and was presumed to have taken her own life. The case file now sits in the police headquarters basement, where the newly created Department Q is meant to sort through old reports. It is run by Detective Carl Mørck, sidelined after a botched operation, whose only assistant is the sharp-witted Assad. Their superiors order them to drop the case, and Carl and Assad ignore them.
