After the Oscar-winning documentary "March of the Penguins", director Luc Jacquet returns to Antarctica once more. This is another epic travelogue in the vast, frozen landscape of the South Pole, which looks into the causes of the ecological time tomb that we call "climate change".

Synopsis

The story of glacialist Claude Lorius, whose pioneering research in Antarctica provided the first evidence for global warming. Lorius was a student when he went on his first Antarctic mission in 1955, and since then he has participated in 22 more. He faced unforgiving conditions and tough personal challenges, but was rewarded with a stunning discovery.
