Synopsis

Three convicts escape from a Mississippi prison and set off on a journey in search of a mythical treasure. Along the way, they encounter eccentric characters, populist demagogues, and musicians of American folk tradition, in a series of episodes that freely reinterpret Homer’s Odyssey.
