Synopsis
Emmett Ray, one of the finest jazz musicians in 1930s America, is in his personal life an alcoholic, a gambler, irresponsible and self-absorbed. But all of that until the moment he meets the deaf-mute and good-natured Hattie, who adores him and his music.
