Michel Hazanavicius (“The Artist”) opened Cannes with his French remake of a Japanese zombie hit, starring Romain Duris and Bérénice Bejo, in which a crew shooting a cheap horror film comes under attack from the real undead. The second half will send you straight back to the first.

Synopsis

With a small crew and a tiny budget, a director sets out to shoot a zombie horror film in one continuous take. His actors get it wrong again and again, but the camera never stops. Then the real zombies show up.
