When a documentary met the classic heist movies, one of the most enjoyable postmodern American films of recent years was created, seeking the truth behind the absurdity of the actions of a group of educated young people while maintaining a modern adventure’s excitement.

Synopsis

Based on real life events, the film recounts the inexplicable attempt of four middle-class, educated college students to steal some rare books from the local university library, after being inspired by classic American heist movies. Blinded by ambition and driven by a mixture of youthful impulsiveness, ignorance of danger and grotesque incompetence, the four friends will make one mistake after the other to finally realize that a robbery does not come without consequences.
