The photographer commits suicide and the pregnant girlfriend returns to her family's farm. The two women lose touch for years, but are reunited in a 1972 demonstration.

One Sings, the Other Doesn't

Between the two Godfathers, Francis Ford Coppola delivered a masterpiece about the years of paranoia and surveillance - evergreen, like the image of the introverted Gene Hackman as a cynic caught in a crisis of conscience. Palme d’Or at Cannes and a defining moment for the 1970s American cinema.
