Another film that confirms that Viggo Mortensen is one of the greats, capable of adapting his stoic intensity authentically to any role. Here, he is one half of a great cinematic twosome, in a film based on a Camus short story, with a soundtrack by Nick Cave.

Synopsis

Winter of 1954, in an isolated Algerian village. The anti-colonialist fight against the French has begun and, as the rebels surround the area, the village teacher is asked to accompany a teenager accused of murder to the city where he will be tried in court. Together, they are forced to cross the vast plains of the country's hinterland. Hunted by the murdered man's relatives and by French soldiers, they come face to face with bigotry, senseless violence and personal moral dilemmas.

H απλοτητα της αγαπης

Τρομερη ταινια! Γυρισμενη σε ενα αγριο και αφιλοξενο τοπιο!! Η αγαπη προς τον ανθρωπο απο εναν πρωην στρατιωτη που εχει ζησει την φρικη του πολεμου!! Πολυ ωραιες εικονες και φωτογραφιες σε ενα περιβαλ...
