When governments and a variety of institutions tried to conceal Nazi crimes, it was much more than a mere conspiracy. An immersive, significant historical drama about the importance of truth, told in an era dominated by fake news.
Synopsis
Germany, 1958. Nobody knows what happened in Auschwitz and nobody asks. A young lawyer discovers that his neighbors used to be Nazis and executioners at the concentration camps. Former members of the SS are teachers, bakers and civil servants. They live among unsuspecting people, who think that stories about tortures and the extermination of the Jews in the concentration camps are urban legends or propaganda by the allied forces.
